Meerkat Web Hosting Limited provides web hosting services to clients worldwide. To ensure the best service and protect our clients, all users of Meerkat Web Hosting Limited services must agree to the following terms of service:
Indemnification Policy
By using Meerkat Web Hosting Limited's services, you acknowledge and accept that such use is at your own risk. Meerkat Web Hosting Limited expressly disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. In no event shall Meerkat Web Hosting Limited be liable for any loss of data or other damages, including but not limited to special, incidental, or consequential damages.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Meerkat Web Hosting Limited, its employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or costs (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from the use of services provided by Meerkat Web Hosting Limited. This includes, but is not limited to, any injury or damage caused by products sold or distributed in connection with your website hosted on Meerkat Web Hosting Limited's servers.
Meerkat Web Hosting Limited reserves the right to intervene in any hosted site in order to protect the interests of its customers. We shall have sole discretion in determining what constitutes a violation of this policy.
Billing
We offer flexible billing options, including monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual payments, depending on the chosen plan. Domain name registration fees are non-refundable.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and PayPal as payment methods. Clients are encouraged to use credit cards for easy payment. There are no long-term contract requirements, and contracts are automatically renewed unless you notify us otherwise.
Late Payments
All accounts are billed based on the initial activation date. If payment is not received by the due date, the account will be suspended. If payment is not made within seven (7) days of suspension, the account will be terminated, and all stored data will be permanently deleted.
Late Payment Fees
Overdue invoices will incur the following fixed-rate fees:
- Invoices under £49.99: £40.00 fee
- Invoices between £50.00 - £99.99: £80.00 fee
- Invoices between £100.00 - £149.99: £120.00 fee
- Invoices over £150.00: £180.00 fee
Additionally, statutory interest charges (8% plus the Bank of England base rate) will be applied to overdue invoices, in accordance with UK business-to-business transaction regulations.
Cancellations
Customers may submit cancellation requests via the Customer Portal by selecting the ‘Request Cancellation’ option for the service being canceled. The cancellation will take effect on the next billing due date, thirty (30) days after the request is submitted, or at the end of the current term—whichever is longer.
Any remaining customer data after the cancellation date will be destroyed to protect privacy unless otherwise required by law. It is the customer’s responsibility to cancel any payment subscriptions; refunds will not be issued for payments that continue beyond the cancellation.
Office 365 Business
All Office 365 accounts require a minimum 12-month contract. However, we offer the option to pay monthly to support your cash flow management.
Refunds & Disputes
All services provided by Meerkat Web Hosting Limited are non-refundable, except for SSL Certificates, which come with a 30-day refund policy. This includes, but is not limited to, setup fees, one-time fees, monthly service fees, upgrade fees, additional service fees, administrative fees, and late fees.
If you have a billing issue, please open a ticket with the billing department through the Customer Portal. Chargebacks or payment disputes will result in an additional charge of £150 and may lead to immediate service termination. All associated costs incurred by Meerkat Web Hosting Limited to enforce collections (including attorney’s fees and collection agency costs) will be the customer’s responsibility.
Acceptable Use Policy
Our services must be used for lawful purposes only. The transmission, storage, or presentation of information or data that violates any applicable law is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, copyrighted material, obscene content, or content that we deem threatening or harmful.
Pornographic content is strictly prohibited on Meerkat Web Hosting Limited servers. Sites hosting sexually explicit material, hacking content, warez, or IRC content are not permitted.
Meerkat Web Hosting Limited reserves the right to suspend accounts found to be in violation of this policy. No refunds will be provided in the event of account suspension due to content violations.
Limitation of Liability
Meerkat Web Hosting Limited shall not be held liable for any claimed damages, including incidental or consequential damages, due to service interruptions, data loss, or server downtime. In no event will Meerkat Web Hosting Limited's liability exceed the amount paid for services during the affected period.
Disclaimer
Meerkat Web Hosting Limited is not liable for system outages, crashes, or data loss. We cannot be held responsible for projected profits you may have lost due to downtime. Certain services provided by Meerkat Web Hosting Limited are resold, and we do not directly own all equipment, routing, or software used in these services.
Meerkat Web Hosting Limited reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account without prior notice if any terms or conditions are violated. Additionally, we reserve the right to modify these terms at any time without notice.
